Struck by Daniel Carr of the Moonlight Mint
The obverse design is a replica of an 1869 U.S. Mint Medal to commemorate the completion
of the Transcontinental Railway
The Glendale Coin Club of California chose this design to
remember a rare and interesting part of California history.
The reverse design is modeled after the California Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Half Dollar
These medals were only available on a pre-order basis, and cannot be purchased from Daniel Carr, or the Moonlight Mint
Mintage figures are finalized and no more of these medals will be struck.
Because I have several for sale, the coins in the pictures may not be the coins you receive
