The Obverse design is modeled after the State Seal Design used on the Official Mint Medal of the
California Midwinter Expo of 1894. Listed as HK-245 in the Hibler-Kappen reference of So-Called Dollars
The Glendale Coin Club chose this design to remember a rare and interesting part of California history.
The reverse design is modeled after the California Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Half Dollar
These medals were only available on a pre-order basis, and cannot be purchased from Daniel Carr, or the Moonlight Mint
Mintage figures are finalized and no more of these medals will be struck.
